Emotional Healing Intensive
May 28th, 2011
Psychotherapy has become a valuable tool in many people’s lives: a safe place where emotional blocks can be explored and transformed; where we are allowed to ‘just be’ without fearing repercussions for not being perfect; where we can explore new strategies for living and ‘bounce off’ ideas and observations about ourselves and the world we are living in. But sometimes we come upon a big block, upon emotions that seem too big to be released in a single, short session. This is when an intensive emotional healing experience may be called for.
This Emotional Healing Intensive was designed to allow those who have had prior therapy to come together in a small, safe group and work intensely on the release of emotions too big for your therapist’s office and the transformation of blocks that up to now have stubbornly resisted transformation.
Emotional Healing Intensives are experiential therapy workshops in which individuals have an opportunity to work intensely on one aspect / block while being supported by all the other members of the group. The group work allows for interaction and perspectives that are not possible in individual sessions; and the possibility to re-create scenarios for the participant to experience change and transformation first hand. While there can’t be any guarantees as to the success of the transformational process of such work, most people find the shifts and changes that are initiated in these powerful workshops to be long-lasting and ongoing.
Sabine Cox and Chris Johnson are experienced psychotherapists with many years of co-facilitating these intensive workshops in Toronto. They are practiced in creating safe, supportive environments; build strong work groups from and for the participants; guide individuals and the group safely through each experience; and providing a strong foundation of trust and belief in each individual participant’s ability to grow, change, and transform his / her life.
- Small groups of max. 4 participants allow for safe and intimate sharing experience

- The experiential character of the facilitated work allows for deep and lasting change
