Breanne, speaking about her Practicum

Hello, my name is Breanne, and I am an MACP candidate at Sofia University, currently pursuing my master’s degree in counselling psychology. I am also a Certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Facilitator with the Centre for Mindfulness Studies in Toronto. With nearly two decades of experience in mindfulness meditation, I believe that cultivating self-awareness is foundational to creating lasting transformation.

As a soon-to-be Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), my approach is heart-centred, focusing on restoring a person’s inner balance and aliveness. I take a holistic perspective, integrating the connection between body, mind, emotions, and spirit to help clients explore what may be hindering their capacity for authentic connection—with themselves and others.

I draw on the belief that the body holds profound wisdom from our life experiences and utilize skills from Sensorimotor Psychotherapy to help increase awareness of protective or conditioned patterns that may limit access to our innate wholeness. By regulating the nervous system and fostering a sense of inner safety, we can begin to open ourselves to our heart’s deepest longings.

From this space, one’s authentic presence can emerge, leading to a more meaningful life filled with aliveness, purpose, and expansive freedom.

I’m excited to meet you and would be happy to have a conversation to see if we are a good fit to work together.
